It started with a trip to the barbershop. Sitting in a barber chair, George Raymond Sr. ​had a spark of inspiration. What if the hydraulic system used to raise and lower the barber chair could be repurposed to raise and lower materials? What came next was the first, hydraulic hand pallet jack.

In honor of Raymond's 100 year anniverary, Raymond West held onsite Open House celebrations for our customers, employees and members of the industry.
These celebrations featured a Raymond Corp interactive exhibit which highlighted how the products of the past have evolved into today's warehouse solutions. Product specialists were on hand to showcase the latest in cutting edge automation, telematics, robotics and virtual reality training that will bring today's warehouse and distribution centers to new levels of performance.
