Pallet Racking & Industrial Shelving
Raymond supplies a full range of quality racking, shelving and mezzanine alternatives, including both new and used equipment. We offer favorable terms, along with services like engineering, installation, project management and customer safety inspection. If you need a hand with warehouse storage, we can help!
Cantilever Rack
Cantilever racks offer optimal storage for longer or oversized products (pipe, PVC, lumber, metal products, etc). Cantilever racking consists of arms fastened to a beam on a single end. These structural arms can be set up to accommodate specific products and lengths, and the aisle side provides free access to lift trucks.
Carton Flow
Flow rack solutions are gravity-powered skate-wheel rack equipment perfectly suited to uses with numerous SKUs. This variety of racking uses sloped shelving with a loading aisle on the uphill side access and a retrieval aisle on the downhill end, allowing a FIFO product inventory rotation. Sloped shelves also increase visibility, allowing better fulfillment precision. Carton flow equipment is well suited for piece or split case picking.
Drive In Rack
Drive-in racking is primarily used for high density industrial applications where large volumes of the same items are grouped and stocked together. Drive-in pallet racking is ideal for uses where full bays of pallets get moved at the same time.
Bays are most often a column four pallets high and four pallets deep. Drive-in racks are configured with overhead beams so that lift trucks can be guided into and out of the columns. Pallets sit on twin rails situated on the uprights on both sides of the bay.
These racking arrangements allow the forklift operator to travel as many as four pallet lengths into the column, position the product in the correct location and then reverse out.
Because drive-in racks are filled from the face, management of stock is in a "first-in/last-out" order.
Pallet Flow Rack
Pallet flow racks are structures with slanting shelves, decked with roller conveyors or skate-wheels. Pallets are filled from an aisle in the back of the racking structure and they travel down the declining platform as previously added pallets are retrieved from the face.
This category of storage rack is a "first in / first out" system and is perfect for a large stock of heavy products and inconsistent sizes of pallets. They are oftentimes put to use in the beverage industry.
Push Back Rack
Push back storage equipment is filled from a front lane, and pallets proceed up inclined steel rails on specially designed carts. As new pallets are loaded from the front, they drive the pallets in the rear of them up the slope.
In contrast to flow racks, push back rack systems do not need a filling lane behind them and can be set up for a higher density warehouse. However, since everything is loaded from the face of the rack, product treatment must be handled on a "last in/first out" basis which isn't acceptable for businesses with perishable products. Like pallet flow racks, push back racks are best for high volumes of uniform merchandise.
Selective Rack
Selective racking is the most commonly used type of storage today. These systems consist of load beams attached to uprights with bolts or teardrop connectors. Selective rack is made of either roll formed or structural steel, with the former usually being not as costly and more versatile.
Standard selective rack implementations are generally designed as "single deep", which means they have a single length of bays per row measuring 96" x 42". Double deep racking options have rows the same height, but doubly wide, so they can accommodate two pallets per bay. Double deep racks are loaded from the face, which makes them a "first in/last out" implementation.
Depending on your load capacity and application, you may also wish to select different styles of pallet rack decking and accessories. Pick from standard wire decking, solid steel or slotted/perforated steel depending on your specific use.
Boltless Shelving
Along with pallet racking, we offer a complete range of boltless shelving in light, medium and heavy duty formats. This style of shelves is perfect for light industrial or shop use, shipping operations, paper records, parts and many other applications that require less weight support.
You can order decks as regular particle board, solid metal or wire decking. No bolts, nuts, screws or additional small parts are necessary for setup of this product, making installation a simple project. Add accessories like side panels, work tables, post caps, tie plates or footplates.
