Managing materials in today's business environment is difficult. With so many individual items, it's hard to know what you have on hand and where it is. The Kardex Remstar Lektriever vertical carousel is designed to keep objects at your fingertips while making efficient use of space, increasing security and improving availability.

Kardex's vertical carousel is an array of vertically organized rotating racks, or bins, controlled by an electronic keypad. When a button is pushed the carousel spins and submits the chosen item to the operator at an ergonomic work platform. A flexible and reliable solution that uses very little space, boosts security and enhances ergonomics, The vertical carousel is the ideal system for operations that would like to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Dispensing stored items and paper records to an operator reduces retrieval time by 2 to 3 times in comparison to typical file cabinets or racking. Quicker retrieval of items and key information enables workers to increase their focus on more important tasks, increasing efficiency and saving money.

A wide range of shelf formats give the Lektriever vertical carousel unmatched adaptability. Carriers can be selected to match your exact application and can be readily modified in the future as your organization evolves. Carrier options include the following:

Kardex Remstar's Lektriever vertical carousel maximizes space and delivers expanded capacity in comparison to file cabinets and racks. Sixteen 5-drawer filing cabinets or standard file racks occupy about 216 sf of floor space. A Lektriever vertical carousel with approximately the same capacity occupies only 65 sf. That's a 70% floor space savings.

The Lektriever vertical carousel offers a standard lockable door enabling the carousel to be fully secured with a key. Specific carriers can be equipped with lockable doors requiring a key to gain access to articles housed in a specific carrier.

For advanced defense the unit can be fitted with a self-regulating security door which is continually closed until utilized, keeping classified items and files sealed in a closed case.

Designed to OSHA standards, Kardex's Lektriever delivers archived items to an ergonomically placed, lighted work surface. To improve employee ergonomics and efficiency, an optional adaptable counter can travel from an upright height of 39.37 inches to a sitting height of 29.5 inches, or any position in between for maximum employee comfort and ADA compliance.

For constrained spaces the Lektriever vertical carousel is available with no work space or a retractable work surface can be provided.

To ensure worker safety, Lektriever units are equipped with a light curtain. The carousel will stop instantly if the light curtain is crossed while the unit is in motion. Aside from filing, common Lektriever applications include:
