Keeping track of supplies in today's business environment is a challenge. With such a variety of moving pieces, it's nearly impossible to know what you have in inventory and where it is. The Kardex Remstar Lektriever vertical carousel is designed to keep things at your fingertips while making efficient use of space, increasing security and improving accessibility.

The Lektriever vertical carousel is a set of vertically situated rotating racks, or bins, managed by an electronic keypad. When initiated the carousel turns and submits the selected item to the user at an ergonomic task counter. A flexible and reliable system that makes efficient use of space, increases security and enhances ergonomics, Kardex Remstar's Lektriever vertical carousel is the ideal system for facilities that would like to save both money and time.

Presenting inventoried objects and documents to a worker reduces access time by 2 to 3 times in comparison to ordinary file lockers or racks. Quicker retrieval of items and key records enables employees to spend more time on value-added tasks, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

A wide range of shelf configurations give the Lektriever vertical carousel exceptional versatility. Configurations can be chosen to correspond to your exact application and can be readily modified down the road as your organization evolves. Carrier options include:

• Lateral trays for side tab files
• Tray carriers that are sectioned crosswise for top tab files
• Roll out bin carriers for top tab files
• Multi-level roll out bins for small item storage
• Framed roll out bins for suspended filing systems

The vertical carousel makes efficient use of floor area and provides increased capacity in contrast to file cabinets and shelving. Sixteen 5-drawer file cabinets or standard shelving occupy about 216 sf of footprint. A Lektriever vertical carousel with approximately the same capacity occupies only 65 sf. That's a 70% footprint savings.

Substitute 16 file cabinets or racks with 4 carousels, and you will increase your filing area by 271% and your article storage area by 300% in the same footprint.

The Lektriever vertical carousel includes an included lockable door allowing the unit to be completely closed and locked with a key. Individual carriers may be equipped with locking doors necessitating a key to gain access to items housed in a specific carrier.

For advanced security the carousel may be fitted with an automatic security door which is always closed until utilized, keeping privileged items and files secure in an enclosed environment.

Engineered to OSHA specifications, Kardex Remstar's Lektriever rotates stored articles to an ergonomically positioned, illuminated work space. To enhance employee ergonomics and efficiency, an optional movable work surface can travel from an upright height of 39.37 inches to a sitting height of 29.5 inches, or any position in between for peak worker comfort and ADA conformance.

For tight spaces the Lektriever vertical carousel can be purchased with no work space or a foldable counter can be supplied.

To ensure worker safety, Lektriever units are equipped with a light curtain. The carousel will stop instantly if the light curtain is crossed while the unit is in motion. Aside from filing, standard Lektriever uses include:
