OSHA Forklift Certification

As stated in section 1910.178(i)( 6) of OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks standard, any worker that operates a motorized pallet jack or lift truck must be completely trained, tested and certified in order to operate that specific equipment. In this coursework, pedestrians learn how to stay vigilant in the warehouse, visual communication skills, and the best ways to prevent safety incidents and bodily harm.

The Steps To Safety program was developed based on requests for assistance from Raymond customers in addressing their employer-based pedestrian training needs. Steps To Safety encourages the application of the principles taught in the program to specific material handling processes and business environments.

The program can be used as a supplement to Raymond's lift truck operator training course, Safety On The Move or as a standalone training. The coursework can be facilitated by a local Raymond West representative or by an accredited instructor within your organization.

Virtual Reality Forklift Simulator

Along with educational materials, Raymond has recently released a highly innovative Virtual Reality Simulator, featuring industry leading VR technology to help you develop more skilled, efficient lift truck operators.

The simulator puts trainees on an actual Raymond forklift in a very convincing virtual warehouse. Using VR devices, trainees can get continuous feedback while dealing with lifelike "real world" scenarios.
