Keeping track of materials in today's business environment is difficult. With so many individual items, it's difficult to know what you have in inventory and where it's stored. The Kardex Remstar Lektriever vertical carousel is designed to keep objects at your fingertips while maximizing space, increasing security and enhancing accessibility.

Kardex Remstar's vertical carousel is a set of vertically arranged revolving racks, or carriers, managed by an electronic keypad. When a button is pushed the carousel spins and offers the chosen item to the user at an ergonomic task counter. An adaptable and dependable system that uses very little space, increases security and improves ergonomics, The Lektriever vertical carousel is the perfect system for operations that are looking to save time and money.

Delivering stored items and files to an operator lowers access time by 200-300% as compared with standard file lockers or racks. Swifter retrieval of objects and essential information allows workers to spend more time on value-added activities, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

A broad range of shelf configurations give the Lektriever vertical carousel exceptional flexibility. Styles can be selected to meet your precise use and can be readily updated in the future as your organization changes. Carrier choices include the following:

Kardex's Lektriever vertical carousel maximizes floor space and provides increased capacity in comparison to filing cabinets and shelving. Sixteen 5-drawer filing cabinets or standard shelving occupy about 216 sf of floor space. A Lektriever vertical carousel with roughly the same capacity consumes only 65 sf. That's a 70% footprint savings.

Replace sixteen filing cabinets or racks with four vertical carousels, and you'll increase your filing capacity by 271% and your item storage area by 300% in the same floor space.

The Lektriever vertical carousel includes an included locking door allowing the unit to be fully closed and locked with a key. Individual carriers can be equipped with locking doors necessitating a key to access items housed in that particular section.

For advanced security the unit can be equipped with a mechanized security door which is always closed until accessed, keeping classified items and files locked in an enclosed environment.

With an OSHA friendly design, the Lektriever delivers archived objects to an ergonomically situated, illuminated work space. To improve employee ergonomics and efficiency, an optional adaptable work surface can move from a standing height of 39.37 inches to a seated position of 29.5 inches, or any position in between for supreme worker comfort and ADA conformance.

For constrained spaces the Lektriever vertical carousel can be optioned with no counter or a hinged, fold-down work space can be supplied.

For user safety, each Lektriever is furnished with a light curtain. The carousel will stop instantly if the light curtain is crossed while the unit is in motion. Aside from filing, typical Lektriever uses include:
