Cantilever Rack
Cantilever rack is typically used for storage of large, bulky or longer products like carpet, tubing, plywood, and sheet metal. Cantilever racking uses structural arms fastened to a beam at one end only. Products are stored across the cantilever arms, granting lift trucks free access from the face of the structure.
Carton Flow
Carton flow rack is made up of inclined shelving with a skate-wheel system, allowing for better product throughput and increased lane flexibility. Cartons are inserted from the up slope access and move down from the high end of the shelves toward the lower end as inventory is depleted. This type of equipment is frequently used by food and beverage facilities to consolidate lower selling SKUs.
Drive In Rack
Drive-in racking is a high density industrial racking design with overhead cross beams that drives efficiencies in productivity and space. Pallets are supported by rails fastened to the uprights. Forklifts are allowed to freely travel in and out of each column of pallets. Many different industries use drive-in racking, especially those with large stocks of identical items.
Some examples of uses for drive-in pallet racking are grocery, food service, import/export, food manufacturing, bulk product handling, and paint.
Because these types of pallet racks are loaded from the front, management of goods is in a “first-in/last-out” order.
Pallet Flow Rack
Pallet flow racks are equipment with canted platforms, decked with skate-wheels or roller conveyors. Pallets are deposited from an aisle in the back of the racking system and they travel down the slope as previously filled pallets are retrieved from the front.
This type of storage rack is a “first in / first out” method and is ideal for a large stock of heavy loads and dissimilar dimensions of pallets. They are commonly utilized in the beverage industry.
Push Back Rack
Push back storage equipment is loaded from a front aisle, and pallets travel up inclined steel tracks on specialized carts. As new pallets are loaded from the front, they propel the pallets in the rear of them up the slope.
Unlike flow racks, push back rack systems do not necessitate a loading aisle in the rear and can be arranged for a higher density warehouse. Nevertheless, since everything is loaded from the face of the rack, pallet treatment must be handled on a “last in/first out” principle which is not suitable for industries with perishable goods. Similar to pallet flow racks, push back racks are a good fit for for high volumes of uniform products.
Selective Rack
Selective racking is the most widely utilized type of storage today. These systems consist of load beams fastened to uprights using bolts or teardrop connectors. Selective rack is constructed from either roll formed or structural steel, with the former usually being less expensive and more versatile.
Standard selective rack setups are generally designed as “single deep”, which means they have only one length of bays per row measuring 96” x 42”. Double deep pallet racks have rows the same height, but two times as wide, so they can store two pallets per bay. Double deep configurations are filled from the face, which makes them a “first in/last out” implementation.
You can also select different varieties of pallet rack decking and accessories depending on your use case and load capacity. Pick from standard wire decking, solid steel or slotted/perforated steel depending on your specific use.
Boltless Shelving
Along with pallet racking, we offer a complete line of boltless shelving in light, medium and heavy duty choices. This style of shelves is suitable for light industrial or shop use, shipping operations, record archives, parts and dozens of other applications that require less weight support.
You can order decks as standard particle board, wire or solid metal decking. No bolts, nuts, screws or other small parts are needed for setting up this product, so installation is a simple project. Add accessories like side panels, work tables, post caps, tie plates or footplates.
