Pallet Racking & Industrial Shelving
Raymond supplies a full range of quality industrial shelving, pallet racking and mezzanine alternatives, including both new and pre-owned equipment. Raymond offers attractive terms, in addition to services like engineering, installation, customer safety inspection and project management. If you need a hand with pallet racking or storage, we can help!
Cantilever Rack
Cantilever rack is typically utilized for storage of large, bulky or long products like carpet, tubing, wallboard, and metal products. Cantilever racking uses structural arms anchored to a beam at one end only. Products are stored perpendicular to the arms, giving lift trucks free access from the front of the structure.
Carton Flow
Carton flow rack is simply sloped shelving with a skate-wheel system, enabling better product throughput and greater lane adaptability. Cartons are inserted from the high side access and make their way down from the high end of the shelves toward the lower end as inventory is depleted. This variety of equipment is quite often used by food and beverage operations to consolidate slow moving SKUs.
Drive In Rack
Drive-in racking is often utilized for high density industrial situations where large quantities of identical items are aggregated and stocked together. Drive-in pallet racking is suitable for uses where full bays of pallets get moved in unison.
Bays are typically a column four pallets high and four pallets deep. Drive-in racks are set up with overhead beams so that forklifts can be maneuvered into and out of the columns. Pallets are set on twin rails stationed on the uprights on each side of the column.
These racking arrangements enable the lift truck operator to advance as many as four pallet lengths into the column, deposit the product in the appropriate spot and then back out.
Because drive-in pallet racks are filled from the front, management of stock is in a “first-in/last-out” order.
Pallet Flow Rack
Pallet flow racks are structures with canted platforms, decked with skate-wheels or roller conveyors. Pallets are added from a lane in the back of the racking system and they move down the slope as previously added pallets are retrieved from the front.
This type of storage rack is a first in / first out system and is ideal for a large stock of heavy products and inconsistent dimensions of pallets. They are frequently put to use in the beverage industry.
Push Back Rack
Push back storage equipment is filled from a front aisle, and pallets advance up sloped steel rails on specially designed carts. As new pallets are loaded from the face of the racks, they propel the pallets in the rear of them up the incline.
In contrast to flow racks, push back rack systems do not necessitate a loading aisle behind them and can be configured for a higher density warehouse. However, since all products are loaded from the front, product treatment is handled on a last in/first out principle which is not appropriate for businesses with perishable goods. Like pallet flow racks, push back racks are the best option for high volumes of uniform goods.
Selective Rack
Selective racking is the most widely enlisted type of storage today. These racks consist of load beams mounted on uprights with bolts or teardrop connectors. Selective rack is built with either roll formed or structural steel, with the former typically being not as costly and more adaptable.
Standard selective rack setups are usually configured as "single deep", meaning they have a single length of bays per row measuring 96" x 42". Double deep pallet racks have rows the same height, but two times as wide, meaning they can receive two pallets per bay. Double deep configurations are loaded from the front, making them a "first in / last out" configuration.
Depending on your load capacity and application, you may also wish to select different styles of pallet rack decking and accessories. Select from standard wire decking, solid steel or slotted/perforated steel depending on your specific use.
Boltless Shelving
Along with pallet racking, we offer a full range of boltless shelving in light, medium and heavy duty choices. This style of shelves is ideal for light industrial or shop use, shipping operations, paper records, parts and dozens of other purposes that require lighter weight support.
You can order decks as regular particle board, wire or solid metal decking. No nuts, bolts or additional small parts are necessary for setup of this product, making installation a simple project. Add accessories like worktables, side panels, post caps, footplates or tie plates.
